New CD title!
"Libby", Ch Riversong's Dream Catcher
*CD* JH Am/Can WC, handled by Janet, picked up her second and third CD legs
at the Middleburg KC trial on Oct. 29-30 to complete her CD title in 3 appearances
in the ring. Libby's title weekend included a 2nd place on Saturday and 1st place
on Sunday! To finish up her "novice" career, Libby earned a fourth leg at the
Upper Marlboro KC show on Sunday, Nov. 27, and another 2nd place ribbon and HFCIT trophy!
Now onto Open! Libby is loved, owned, trained and bred by Janet & Cary Ciarico.
November 25 & 27, 2005 - At the Turkey Cluster shows in West Friendship, MD:
"Salem", *Ch* Blazin's History Repeats, was Winners Bitch under
Marjorie Martorella and Bonnie Threlfall to finish her Championship!!
Salem won 4 point majors at both shows and on Friday, she also won Best of Winners and Best of Opposite over the
bitch specials!! Salem is owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty
Archambeault and handled by Marty.
Nov. 18 - 20, 2005 - Agility at the JAG Agility Trial in PA:
"Piper", Ch Blazin's Enchanted Forest CD RN OA *AXJ*, picked up her 3rd
leg in Excellent A JWW for the title!! At the same shows her birth sister "Prue",
Ch Blazin's Eternal Flame CD RN OA AXJ, picked up her 2nd Master Excellent JWW leg and their adoptive brother

Isabel - What a Fall!
"Isabel" (Rowansgaard During Wind N Rain** JH WC) had an unbelievable Fall. After her initial all-breed JAM in August, Isabel continued to confound the lab folks with yet TWO more Derby JAMS at Maryland and DelBay Retriever clubs. After running the Derbies, Is went back to the show ring at the Bloomsburg, PA shows to win two of the three days for 6 points as WB and BOS (the last day was a four point major and BOS!) Is is loved and owner/handled by Kathi Leonhardt.
Nov. 5 - 6, 2005 - At the Carolinas Retriever Club hunt test at H. Cooper Black in SC:
"Brook", Ch SR Bertschire's Avalanche CD NA NAJ *MH* WCX VFCR1, earned her final leg and title as a Master Hunter!! She's owned by John and Sandy Bulger and Donna Slavin, and was handled by John. Handler and owners are SOOOO proud!
Nov. 3 - 4, 2005 - At the Va. Beach and Tidewater KC shows in Va. Beach, VA:
"Cosmo", Ch SR SHR U-CDX U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon UD RN JH AX NAP NJP WCX CGC TT HOF, won Best of Breed both days and Group IV on Friday. 10.5 year old Cosmo is owned by Melody Daniels, Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault, handled by Melody at these shows.

A great autumn for Breezy!
April Senseney writes: "Breezy", Bear Country April Breeze CD JH NA NAJ, has had a wonderful last few months, at the September TBAC Agility trail in Kenneth Sq., PA Breezy finished her Novice Standard Title with a 2nd place and at the September Lancaster Kennel Club Agility trail she received her first Novice Jumpers leg, at the York County Dog Training Club Agility trail she received her first open standard leg with a first place and finished her Novice Jumpers with 2 first place finishes. Breezy has also has done well in field where in June at the Keystone club she got her 2nd SH leg and on October 22nd she got her 3rd SH. Now onto our 4th, hopefully soon!

legs! With entries of 50 dogs in Novice B, ten year old Cosmo placed 3rd on Saturday
with a perfect score of 100, and finished his title on Sunday with a
99. Cosmo is owned by Melody Daniels, Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault, and lives
and plays with Melody. Cosmo congratulates his granddaughter, Shayla . . .
Oct. 22 - 23, 2005 - At the Merrimac DTC Obedience Trials in Hampton, VA:
"Shayla", Ch Shalyn's Not Just A Pretty
Face *CD* CGC, earned her 2nd and 3rd CD legs for her title, in 3 straight trials before her 2nd birthday! Shayla is bred, owned, trained and handled by Sherri
Lilley. She is the 2nd littermate from the Dino x. Reggae litter to finish her CD before turning 2 years old.
Oct. 15, 2005 - At the Catonsville KC Rally Trial in MD:
"Mesa", Ch Blazin's Fire On The Mountain CD CGC, earned a Novice rally
leg and a First Place Ribbon, with a perfect score of 100 in a Novice B
class of 54 dogs! Mesa is loved, owned and trained by Diane Orth Fong.
Oct. 15, 2005 - At the Catonsville KC show in MD:
"Sombra", Blazin Evans Family CGC, won his second 3 point major under David Ashbey. This was Sombra's 1st show since winning his first 3 point major in June of 2003!! Sombra was handled by Dawn and is owned and trained by Leonard and Louise Evans.

"Chase", Huntlane Chasin' Daisies, was WD on Oct. 2 at
the Elmira KC show for 4 points, his 2nd major. He was RWD on Sept 30 and Oct. 1. Chase
is owned by John and Sandy Bulger and Jennifer Andrews, and was handled by Jennifer in the 12-18 month class.

Sept. 17, 2005 - At the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club show in Macungie, PA:
"Faith", *Ch* Blazin's Gardez La Foi, was Winners Bitch and Best Of Opposite for 2 points under Charles Olvis to finish her Championship! Faith earned all of her points from the Bred By Exhibitor class, picking up a Sporting Group III along the way. Faith is owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault and handled by Dawn.

"Jetta", *Ch* Salasana Silver Arrow, was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Breed (3 points)
under Rita Bell to finished her Championship! Jetta is owned by Judy Terchek and is her first (but not last) FCR.
Isabel "During Field N Show!"
"Isabel" (Rowansgaard During Wind N Rain JH WC) had a fabulous week. Kathi writes,
"Starting on August 12, 2005, she amazed all the Lab folks at the Labrador Retriever Club at the C&D Canal
by JAMMING at their Derby! Judges Rex Bell and Don Driggers were very complimentary of the 20 month old FCR.
Following her all-breed Derby debut, Is went WB, BW and BOB at the Talbot Kennel Club show in Easton, MD
for a three-point major under Judge Nat Horn on August 20th. Both feats were accomplished under sweltering heat -
she's quite a little trooper!" Isabel is owner trained, handled and adored by really proud mom, Kathi Leonhardt.

in Westminster, MD:

"Freddie", Athercroft Not For A Melon Bucks, was WD/BOW/BOB for two points on Sat. at the Wilmington Kennel Club show.
He then made the cut in the group! Freddie is owned and (lovingly!) hauled around the ring by Ruth Marsh.

April 23, 2005 - At the Old Dominion KC show in MD:
Kate Hutchinson and "Zu", Ch Victory's Bravo Zulu *CDX* SH MX MXJ WCX, earned their third qualifying Open Obedience leg and CDX title!
The first leg was earned at Oriole Dog Training Club on March 25th, and second leg at the FCRSA National Specialty on April 5th.
Gosh, if Kate hadn't broken her foot and had surgery they may never have actually taken the time to learn obedience.
The big bonus is that this title now makes Zu eligible for the FCRSA *Hall of Fame*! What a great teammate you are buddy, thanks!

April 15-16, 2005 - At the Hampton Roads agility trials in Gloucester, VA:
Sherri Lilley's "Reggae", Ch SR TLC & Shalyn's Rhythm O' the Island, CD OA *OAJ* NAP WC CGC VFCR1,
finished her Open Jumpers title and earned her second Excellent Standard leg. Both of her scores were 100's and
both were first place!
April 2-8, 2005 - At the National Specialty in Perry, GA:

Kate Hutchinson writes: "Zu", Ch Victory's Bravo Zulu CD SH MX MXJ WCX, had a Great Specialty . . . he qualified and
placed 1st in JWW Preferred Novice Agility Class and qualified and placed 2nd in Standard Agility Preferred Novice Class.
He was the only dog that got to run three times, and clean for all three, in agility, oops, the clock wasn't running on his first Standard run!
He also qualified in Open Obedience, earning his second leg. Best part was reunion with three of his littermates, the famed Peeheads.
Oh, and showing off his new sister, the golden puppy girl Delta.

Dawn Buttion writes, "Marty and I had a great time at the National. The weather was perfect and the show site was wonderful. Of
course, we had to drive through the mountains in the middle of a snow storm to get there but we did manage
to make it. Getting home wasn't without at least one glitch. Like having our tire blow out in Roanoke and
realizing that we didn't have the tools to change it and that our spare was flat!! :) We did finally arrive home
safe and sound in time to watch Colin play baseball!! Here is what our dogs and those we showed did at
the national. I found it very rewarding to either place or make the cut in every class that I exhibited in. Memories
that I will keep much longer than the snow storm or the tire blowout!!"

Sherri Lilley's "Reggae", Ch SR TLC & Shalyn's Rhythm O' the Island, CD OA NAJ NAP WC CGC VFCR1,
earned a versatility award by winning ribbons in breed, field, obedience, and agility! Reggae earned her 2nd Junior
Hunter leg, passed the Working Certificate test, and earned an Award of Merit
in Unsteady Singles in the field. Then she won the Excellent A 24" Standard
agility class and qualified in Novice B obedience. In breed, she placed
3rd in Working Retriever Bitches, won the Brace class with her daughter
Shayla, and placed 2nd in Brood Bitches.

Sherri Lilley's "Shayla", Ch Shalyns Not Jst A Pretty
Face, CGC (Reggae's daughter), placed 2nd in Puppy Sweepstakes 15-18 Months, won the Brace
class with her mother Reggae, and earned her 1st CD leg . . . and then won an
Award of Merit in Best of Breed competition! Baby Shayla was in the
final two bitches considered by the judge for Best of Breed. Her littermate
"Lily", Shalyns Wildwood Flower, CGC, owned, trained and handled by CRFCRC member Anne Fisher, also earned her 1st CD leg by winning the Novice A class at her first
National and first obedience trial.

"Cosmo", Ch. SR SHR U-CDX U-AGI Blazin's Back O' The Moon UD JH AX NAP
NJP WCX CGC TT HOF (Major x. Ravin), at almost 10 years old, was only
entered in breed and obedience classes this year, and he placed or
qualified in all of them! 3rd place in Veteran Sweepstakes 9-11 Years;
2nd place in Working Retriever Dogs; 4th place in Stud Dogs; and 187.5
in Veterans Obedience, just out of the ribbons after a mad dash from
the Stud Dog class. All of his owners got to handle Cosmo this year.
He was handled in Sweeps and Working Dogs by Dawn Buttion, in obedience
and the Ring of Honor by Melody Daniels, and in Stud Dogs by Marty
Archambeault while Dawn handled son Eagle and Melody handled daughter
Snicker. An extra thrill this year was having Cosmo's son Murphy win
the Steady Singles Championship, daughter Reggae earn an Iron Dog
Award, and daughter Snicker and granddaughter Shayla win 2 of the 11
Awards of Merit in Best of Breed!

March 5-6, 2005 - At the Maryland Sporting Dog Association shows in LaPlata:
On Saturday, "Freddie", Athercroft Not For A Melon Bucks, was WD and Best of Winners (4 points) and Best Puppy!
In the best puppy ring, Freddie was able to snag a bite of a spectator's
hot dog at ringside without missing a stride - now that's talent!
Freddie is owned by Ruth Marsh.
On Sunday, "Shayla", *Ch* Shalyn Not Just A Pretty Face
CGC, was WB and Best of Winners (5 points) to finish her Championship! Shayla is just 16 months and won all of her points from the
Bred By Exhibitor class. Bred, owned and handled by Sherri Lilley, Shayla is Sherri's first homebred Champion!

Feb. 26-27, 2005 - Match Madness!
At the Mason and Dixon KC All Breed match on Saturday, "Faith" (Blazin's Gardez La Foi) won Best Puppy Flat-Coat and than went on to win a Sporting Puppy Group I in a group of 12 sporting puppies!!
"Salem" (Blazin's History Repeats) wasn't allowed to play at the Mason and Dixon match since she has a major but did show at the Old Dominion KC All Breed match where she won Best Flat-Coat Puppy and a Sporting Puppy Group I!!
Two puppies, two matches and two Sporting Puppy Group I's!! Faith and Salem are owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault.
2/20/05 - Leesburg, VA - New Flyball Master Excellent!
"Franklin", Maple Manse Stayman Rules *FMX* CGC,
owned, trained and handled by Janet Boss, earned his Flyball Master Excellent (10,000 points) title! He's swiftly on his way to his next title,
earning over 1000 points at that tournament, and over 900 at the next. He's currently the #7 FCR in NAFA
(North American Flyball Association).
Feb. 20, 2005 - At the Maryland KC show in Baltimore, MD:
"Freddie", Athercroft Not For A Melon Bucks, owned by Ruth Marsh, had a good first weekend at the Baltimore dog shows!
He took a 3 point major on Sunday, from the 6-9 puppy class!
"Salem", Blazin's History Repeats, picked up a 3 point major at her very 1st show!!
Salem was handled by Marty to WB/BW/BOS. "Eagle", Ch Salasana Double Arrow CGC, won
BOB at the same show and at the Annapolis KC show the day before. Salem and Eagle
are owned by Dawn Buttion and Marty Archambeault.
